  • Good Morning~ It's a cold, winters day, here in Michigan..... We are up early.....two days in a row, woo-hoo!!!   I had to get up early and take Natalie and Nikki to school.  This is their second week back to volunteering at our church school since Bethany passed away......While I think they are glad to be back, it is so hard for us to get up early and get moving.....

Everyone else is up but Abby and Allison.....Allison wasn't feeling well yesterday.....runny nose, fever, just plain yucky...and I think Abby was starting w/ it also- she was fussy and had a runny nose too..... so I hope they sleep a little bit more....

Started another book last night........Ten P's in a Pod......pretty good, so far..I haven't read too much of it yet, ..I put it down so I could read a story to Allison who was snuggling on the couch w/ me.......then she wanted me to watch a bit of cartoons w/ her.....The older kids played some scrabble and boggle while they watched the Pistons game (they won!!!).....Rosie played puppets w/ Abigail......They got a small table-top puppet theater and a set of puppets for Christmas, and Rosie loves acting stories out for any audience......Bob was on the computer for a bit and then he watched the end of the Pistons game......This has been a bit of an emotional week for him and I.......It was this coming weekend that Bethany was actually due, so I have been quite emotional, especially last night.....and since I was so emotional and my sweet, loving husband wanted to make me feel better, he gave me a gift that he was actually planning on giving me on Friday in memory of Bethany.......It is a beautiful gold heart-locket on a gold chain.....the front of the locket has mother-of-pearl on it, w/ a mother and child in gold.....I love it and will treasure it always....

Well the little ones are up, and I don't think Allison is feeling much better, so I better get off the computer and get busy being a Mom......

    Have a great day everyone!!!

  • What a great remembrance for Bethany!  Hope everyone is feeling better soon!  ~Lori

  • Good Morning!  I'll be praying for extra blessings on you.  The gift sounds beautiful.  How thoughtful of your husband!  It's pretty cold here too-it seems winter has kind of arrived?  There is no snow, but the temp. this a.m. was 4.  But the sun is shining, and God is good,  so I'm off to enjoy this day--I hope you do too!--Karen

  • Have a good day!
I just wanted to tell you that I'm sorry for your loss.

  • Hey Karen,
That sounds like a lovely gift your husband gave you and part of the gift was the thoughtfulness ...have a great day! ~Karen

  • Just popping in to wish you all a great day!  I hope everyone is feeling well today.  There is a touch of something in this house, but I've been following everyone around with the Lysol spray, and filling them up with garlic and echinacea. I swear it really works! --Karen
