Green Beans for Breakfast???

Um, yep, that's right!

Rosie just found some leftover green beans in the fridge from supper the other night.

She is heating them up in the microwave for her breakfast.

Yeah, I know, I have weird kids!!

Me? I am having oatmeal for breakfast.

Of course, my kids don't like oatmeal, so they think I am the weird one, lol.

It's a Keeper....

That's what we say whenever we try a new recipe and it's a hit.
Here's one that was a big hit at our house the other night.

Everyone loved it and it was super-easy!!!

It's a wet, rainy Wednesday.

The girls made sausages for breakfast.

Abby is watching Loony Tunes.

I've been up since 5 am.

Couldn't sleep.

Rosie lost a tooth 3 days ago.

The tooth fairy still hasn't come.

That tooth fairy is always late.

Monday Mumbo Jumbo~

Last week: making homemade playdough, working with paper mache, visits from Grandparents, lots of playing outside, bowhunting, watching Christmas movies, some schoolwork: ABC's & multiplication tables-- counting quarters, reading about bugs, lots of drawing and coloring, Webkinz.com, housework, laundry, making a new budget, getting groceries, lots of baking: chocolate chip cookies, homemade bread, brown sugar muffins, chocolate cake-- headaches and headcolds, church, Sunday school, Yahtzee, Rummy & Super Scrabble, soccer, Boys bike ride to the park, football, basketball, Nascar, jumping on the trampoline.....

ps: Any Xanga subscribers out there not getting their email updates sent to them?

I know my subscriber updates are supposed to be sent to my email, but it's been forever since I've gotten any......It was so much easier to keep up w/ everyone when I was getting them.

Good Morning~

The kiddos are just finishing breakfast and starting chores.

I was up early this morning.

I got up when Bob left for work.

It was nice having the quiet time this morning.

So, I folded 3 loads of laundry, washed 2 more and worked on my Bible cards.

They are just index cards that I write verses on.

Some of the verses are favorites of mine and many of them

are verses that I've found either in devotions

that I've read or on blogs that I visited.

Verses that have a special meaning to me.

I have a basket that I keep them in and I've found that by

copying them onto the cards helps me know the verses better.

Originally, I was going to keep the cards in the van or

in my purse,

so that I could have them to read through

and eventually memorize some of them

when I was waiting for kids to get out of class or work.

But I haven't been doing much waiting.

From time to time, when I am having a rough day,

I grab my basket and read through several of them.

Today, I opened my Bible and copied several verses that

I had highlighted in there, mostly Psalms.

I love reading the book of Psalms.

So many of the verses really encourage and uplift me.

The kids make jokes and say that I really should

just highlight the entire Bible,

because I will eventually have done so anyways, lol.

Here's a picture of Abby taken just this morning.

She is snuggling w/ Misty, our anti-social cat.

Misty usually likes to be left alone. She doesn't like attention

from anyone except Rosie. However, lately, she has started

climbing up on someone's lap and settling right in for

a good snuggle. Yesterday, after Bob left for work,

she crawled up next to me

and snuggled in for a long while.

Today must have been Abby's turn.
